Barry's Tea was founded in 1901 by James J. Barry, grandfather of our Chairman, Peter Barry. We understand the importance of tea in Ireland. In fact we spent years perfecting our blends that have been passed on through generations of our family.
Since the beginning our Master Blender has never compromised in his absolute commitment to fine quality tea. Our Master Blender, Denis Daly, has been blending our teas for nearly 40 years and tastes our blends three times a day to ensure that every moment you spend with our tea is as rewarding as the last.

For over a century now, we've been masterblenders of the finest tea. In 1901 James J. Barry opened a Tea Shop in Bridge Street, Cork. Customers loved the tea so much that we decided to blend it, pack it and bring it straight into Irish homes.
How to Make a perfect Cup of Loose Leaf Tea:
Use one teaspoon of tea per person and one for the pot. Pour on freshly boiled water. Stir immediately, then let your tea brew for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. Stir again before pouring. Then sit back and enjoy a delicious cup of Barry's Tea made to perfection.
