How to change the stethoscope frequency

The membrane side (high frequencies) and the funnel side (low frequencies) can be alternated by turning the stethoscope head. The stethoscope head needs to be firmly placed on the skin while listening. When measuring arterial blood pressure, the stethoscope head can be placed under the blood-pressure cuff with the membrane facing down. You can check which side is active by locating the open/closed funnel opening, or by touching the membrane with your finger while the headphones are in your ears.

If you are not satisfied with the pressure of the stethoscope on your ears, follow these rules:

- If the pressure is too low, take the headphones and push them together while they are not being worn.

- If the pressure is too high, take and headphones and pull them away from each other while they are not being worn.
