Cocoa Butter is a solid butter rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids that deeply penetrate the layers of skin to moisturize, improve elasticity and protect it. Its properties make it effective in smoothing or diminishing scars, wrinkles, and similar marks on the skin. It can also help in preventing and minimizing the appearance of stretch marks.
Cocoa Butter melts at skin temperature so can be used on its own as a moisturizer though it is particularly popular as an ingredient in making skin care products such as whipped body butters, balms, creams, lotion bars and more. It is a vegan butter.
Cocoa butter, also called theobroma oil, is a pale-yellow or light brown solid fat extracted from the cocoa bean. Cocoa beans are removed from the large cacao plant. They are then roasted, stripped, and pressed to separate out the fat, known as cocoa butter.

Make luxurious Cocoa Lotion Bars
Melt 2 oz of cocoa butter, 1/2 oz beeswax and 1 oz apricot or jojoba oil in a double boiler on low heat.
Once melted pour the mixture in silicon molds, and place them in the fridge until hard.
Remove from the molds and they are ready to use
Make a few jars of Whipped Cocoa Butter
Melt 4 oz of cocoa butter in a double boiler on low heat
Once melted mix in 3 oz of jojoba or almond oil and 35 drops of vanilla in jojoba oil.
Blend together and put in fridge for about 1 hour until partially solid (still some liquid remaining)
Remove from the fridge and whip until it expands in volume and is light and fluffy.
Scoop into jars or your final containers
Make a White Chocolate Milk Bath
Shred 2 oz of cocoa butter and mix it with 2 cups of sea salt
Pour it in a full warm bath
Soak for 20 minutes, wash and rinse
Your skin will be soft for hours
