Unlike the 'Month of Packaging', which is when your tea is packaged at a brand's factory, the 'Month of Picking' is when your tea is actually harvested & manufactured in the tea garden. A fairly recent 'Month of Packaging' shared by many mainstream brands leads you to believe that the tea is fresh when in reality, it could be years.
It is imperative to understand that like other agri products, harvesting of tea is also seasonal. Each tea type & region has a specific harvest period in a year when the tea's quality is paramount. This is attributed to a natural play of climate, weather, elevation, temperature etc. We at Vahdam only source each year's prime harvest of teas.
