About Us
1772- Foundation of the company: Henry Nock, a gunsmith with King George III, founded a company specializing in weapons and bayonets.
1805- The foundation stone for a famous mark is laid: Wilkinson Sword: Henry Nock's son-in-law, James Wilkinson, inherits the company after his death. James expanded the company by adding sword making to his business. Thanks to the masterful work of high precision, Wilkinson Sword quickly gained a solid reputation.
1898- Pall Mall: After 100 years of making swords and firearms, Wilkinson Sword decided to diversify by introducing the "Pall Mall" safety razor, the first in a long series of innovations in the field of razors.
1903- Development of new products: At the beginning of the 20th century, the company began to diversify by developing products such as bicycles, motorcycles and even automobiles (1903-1912). In order to compensate for missing arms orders after the 1st World War, gardening tools and hunting knives are produced.
1929- Empire: The "Empire" razor has established itself on the market thanks to the increasing importance that men attach to a neat appearance.
