Your Sweat "Acne" Could Be A Fungal Condition
You want to work out, not break out!
Bumps can be many things, including comedones (almost always externally caused), cysts (almost always internally caused) or folliculitis (which can look really similar but tend to be tiny bumps that appear en masse, almost like a rash).
While you may have other types of acne, too (acne is multifactorial; a dermatologist can be really helpful), sweat "acne" can be a fungal condition called Malassezia (once called "pityrosporum") folliculitis.
Our skins have a happy balance of naturally-occurring microbes. Malassezia likes to feed on sweat (we know, lovely). When sweat is on overdrive, it can go a little nuts and clog pores. Malassezia folliculitis tends to appear on sweaty areas like the back, butt, backs of the arms, thighs, etc.
Typical anti-acne solutions won't work and antifungals can be ineffective if they don't also help control sweat. Clarifying and cooling Id Monolaurin Gel is a great option.
