Our story starts back in 1838, when Carl Heinrich Knorr opened the first Knorr kitchen in Heilbronn, Germany, supplying chicory to the coffee industry

He began to experiment with drying vegetables and seasonings, to preserve nutrition and flavour, which led to the launch of the first Knorr dried soups across Continental Europe in 1873.

This breakthrough ushered in a string of advancements, from the introduction of the nutritious 'Erbswurst', or pea soup, in 1889, to our pioneering Knorr European sauce mix in 1908.

In 1912 we unveiled something really exciting; the first Knorr Bouillon cube (bouillon is French for broth) which later became known as the Knorr Stock Cube. Now families could enjoy delicious dishes at home without the need to make stock from scratch. This humble little product proved a hit.

Dehydrated Tomato Soup Mix. This Tomato Soup is a simple, powdered and delicious soup which is easy to use and a great way to minimise waste. Simply combine the powder with boiled water and stir until it thickens. Makes 200 portions. INGREDIENTS Potato starch, sugar, tomato puree powder¹ (21 ), salt, yeast extract, maltodextrin, palm fat, sunflower oil, glucose syrup, onion powder, acid (citric acid), flavourings, modified starch, pepper, beetroot juice concentrate. May contain GLUTEN, MILK, EGG, CELERY, MUSTARD and SOYA. ¹Made from sustainably grown ingredients. DIRECTIONS Portion 170ml. 102g Product 1.7 litres water 10 portions, entire pack 34 litres water 200 portions. 1) Ensure the product is well mixed before weighing out. 2) Stir the required amount of soup mix into cold water. 3) Bring to the boil, while stirring. 4) Simmer for approximately 4 minutes, whisking occasionally. 5) For best results, whisk thoroughly before serving. 6) Unused prepared portions must be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
