You need to be able to dive deeper, get further away from your board, and know it's not going to break. For our Big Wave leashes, everything's essentially the same, but beefier.

So when a local big wave surfer popped into the XM | SURF MORE shop a few days before chasing a big Hurricane starting to light up the East Coast. He wanted some fresh leashes with Power Clips, because the slab they were hunting was shallow and he couldn't afford unnecessary risks.
"I use XM cause they don't break," says Rusty, "but sometimes you need to get out of 'em, too."
